Giulio Coluccia received the Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 2009 and the M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2005. He is the CEO and founder of ToothPic, a spin-off of Politecnico di Torino which markets innovative solutions based on Camera Identification.

He has been a member of the IPL Group at Politecnico di Torino since 2009, and still collaborates with the team. His research was focused on Compressed Sensing, in particular when applied to distributed systems, multimedia signal processing and image forensics. He followed the Technology Transfer process that led from the EC-funded ERC Proof-of-Concept grant ToothPic to founding the startup company, which inherited the same name.
